ENTREPRENURSHIP TRAINING ASSIGNMENTS
Africa Turnaround was prequalified as a Business Development Service (BDS) provider with Youth Fund in 2009. Our work earned high ratings from the beginning and as a result Youth Fund has continued to contract our services continually.
To date, we have engaged in several entrepreneurship training assignments which have touched different regions of the country targeted to both youth and the District Youth Officers (DYOs) under the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Most of the Youth Fund assignments have been in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Below are highlights on some of these assignments:
Assignment 1: Designed and conducted a youth training on pre-disbursements and business start up and management in 5 constituencies.
Assignment 2: Designed and conducted an Enterprise Development Agents' ToT involving senior regional Youth Fund and Ministry of Youth officers in Nairobi, Embu, Garissa, and Kisumu. This best practice training was building the capacity of District Youth Officers as Enterprise Development Agents (EDAs) to implement the entrepreneurship and business development programmes of the Ministry of Youth at the District level.
Assignment 3: Designed and conducted an 8 day- Entrepreneurship and business start up training within Embu. The participants were being trained to start up and/or expand their income generating activities. This project was collaboration between Youth Fund, Ministry of Youth and the German Foundation for World Population (DSW).
Assignment 4: Designed and developed an ICT Entrepreneurial curriculum/manual and trained over 400 youth entrepreneurs in several regions across the country.
